typography help!

Ok everybody. I am in a Letterform class. We have to make a standard H and a standard E that is visual balanced with the H. I have the E done, but I would like input as to how it looks next to my H.

Interesting. My professor says that the H is fine..its the E I need to work on. Your input makes me think I should widen the E.

does the E look too bold in relation to the H? I made the horizontal crossbars .1 cm smaller in width(the H crossbar is 2.0 cm) so it wouldn't look so big next to it.

are you basing this off of an existing design? (univers, helvetica, etc.)
looks visually balanced. the crossbar on your h appears to be a touch thicker than the center stem of the e.

not really. the assignment calls for a capital H, E, A, and O. The four basic shapes are represented in these. i was cutting out Hs (first letter we started on) and i just started with the 2 cm legs..and i have gone from there. the h crossbar is supposed to be a tad thicker.
