These first couple of episodes have been really disappointing and way too cheesy. I thought that the flying dork was going to be Clare's brother.

I just started watching the new episode, and.....WTF is with people who think their power is actually a curse? I can understand Maya feeling that way (since her powers are very WTF-inducing), but Takezo believing it was a curse was annoying since WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO HEAL? Although, it's probably realistic for him to have that reaction during that time period.

And Syler? God, he was lame in the first season and he's even more lame now.
And what's with Claire's new fly boy boyfriend..the guy who's all thinking he's cool yet his pickup technique is out of Superman the movie...from like 1978. Way to go coolguy. Yup, you're special all right.
And the Englishman in Japan is fucking pissing me off...He reminds me of Sting and I hate Sting.
And I could go on...but I'm giving it two more weeks and then I bail...I can only hope for more scenes of Peter's bearded brother going on benders in two bit bars and betting patrons that he can fly and winning and then taking home the skanks at 4am...that'd be hot...

you havent responded to a heroes thread in a longtime...good recap...but you have more to say...so please say it as a lot of what you feel is felt by most.
i remember reading you comments on the show from last year, and those comments are basicly what got me to watch it...

for jaline... you remember i asked who was the face of the reflection when Nathen is looking in the mirror...
well now i think that face is the "Boogeyman" that Molly is afraid of.
because in the preview we see Nathan punching the mirror and the scene b4 has Molly and Parkman and the location on the map of where this "Boogeyman" "nightmareman" is located.
also what "powers" does Urora" Michah's Grandmother have? she seemd to have something....

Like I said I'm feeling a little let down at this point..but I'll give it a few weeks more...could be just trying to get the gears in motion for the plot to kick in. But I have come to not like most of the characters, although I still have a soft spot for Hiro and Ando - who really are the heart of the show IMHO. The Brothers Petrelli continue to be self absorbed, Claire's continued teenage angst grows tiresome, They killed off Sulu (ug!), Syler should've stayed dead (again IMHO), Mohinder almost grows a pair and then always falls short...nikki or whatever her name is is just so unsympatheic..I hate her and don't care about her storyline...need more mind erasing Haitian dude...the mexican plague twins are kinda boring, although they'll probably figure in somewhere...and for god sakes kill momma petrelli already...I don't know I guess it's too much of the x-men/spiderman "gee I have these powers but let me mope around all Hamlet like in indecision about their moral and ethical use" which gets redundant from so many characters week after week...like I said I just don't understand why Peter - ESPECIALLY bc he doesn't remmeber who he is, not using his powers to not take shit from these two bit Irish mobsters? And HOW can he get a tattoo if he heals? ARRRGGGHHH!!!

I love this series, but:
Sylar has always been annoying. He's too over the top sometimes. I mean, I like that he has multiple powers (as a foil for Peter) and is quite attractive, but the writers need to add some complexity and depth to his character. I do like that they explored the illusion powers further and confirmed how a person with those powers can change their true appearance (who wouldn't if they had that ability). But then again it just reminded me of how they are re-using powers. I don't mind this too much since they are exploring things not covered last season, but there are lots of possible abilities that haven't been shown yet.
Damn, Peter is hot this season (sorry, I just love many of the people in this series). But so incredibly stupid. His story has been done before. I don't mean to bash it too much, but really...he wouldn't want to know about his previous life? Obviously it'll come out in the future, but it's weird that he'd be so willing to get into this new lifestyle. I'm guessing he wants to belong somewhere, and since he's so unsure about his powers (as he was for most of last season), he is staying where he is, where he has earned the respect of others. There has always been ambiguity surrounding Peter and whether he is "good" or "evil". I hope they don't go on about this issue forever in this season.
Claire's new guy, West, is alright but there's something weird about him. There is definitely more going on there. Claire better not hate her father (HRG) again just because this weirdo hates her father. The music during the flight scene was cheesy.
At this point I'd rather see bearded Nathan having sex with anyone...even Niki. Oh, that reminds me. I bet that woman who takes in Mika knows about his powers or will help him master his ability.

While I love Hiro and Ando, I'm kind of bored with them again. Really, there was a chunk of time last season (when they're at the casino and/or looking for the sword) when the two of them were incredibly boring. Even Niki + D.L. + Mika were more interesting.
Nice theory about Nathan, eddie, Could be true. I want to see more of Nathan instead of Claire's damn boyfriend (can someone say: "attraction to a boy who can fly just because my real father rejected me and he can fly too?").
Some of the most interesting characters have been killed off. Charlie (that girl with the memory powers), Eden or whatever her name was (power of persuasion), and two people with the illusion ability.

HRG is not making it past a few more episodes, which sucks as i like him, since he has no powers yet he knows it all and doesnt say anything.
Sylar is wack, i wish they showed more on what he does to the brains...i mean it cant be that much more graphic than claire;s suicide and self mutilation crap or even kenzo's wrist slashing...
ando is also cool, i think the people sans powers are cooler in this season than the powered up people cept claire's mom and her so silent cant have lines brother.
mascara girl and black eye brother are still lame, and oh so they kill. who cares...
parkman and moma petrelli are also boring as hell, what happened to Sylar's memory power and his super hearing powers he never used it and those were cool ones.

the whole thing about claire seeing the scar and makming a deal of it seemed to bs like for a girl who can never get aa scar ever you wouldthink such things are rather trivial for someone like that...
