watched the first _ second episode last night on ch4 (uk). looks well promising.
im really crap at following series on tv. i'll often watch the first couple then forget its on and get mixed up with the story lol. gonna try watch this though :)

Watched it too, though it came through on bbc2 in our house - probbly why your so bad at following series?
Got a bit bored tbh. Seemed like another single idea stretched out over a series ala 'lost' with the premise of revealing a little bit of some big mystery each week.
Thing is, you need to be involve din the characters to make that kind of thing worthwhile, and I didn't get it.
I thought tv had moved on, just seems like lazy/poor writing, inane dialogue, hugely predictable characters and.. well, just seems like a waste of time to me, probbly wont bother next week.

@lofielectronic
Give it a few more episodes, the great thing about heroes is that it has multiple smaller story lines which get resolved frequently, and new ones come. theres also a larger arcing story line so theres always a final objective to the show but you're entertained throughout. Unlike lost which just seems to bring question after question, and then they answer their questions, your're left with even more.

Don't give up on any show after just a few episodes or less. Most of the greatest shows get better with each episode.
I thought the same thing when I first watched Heroes but I loved it by the end of the first season.

I watched the entire 23 episodes over the course of 2 days last week. off the net.
its pretty cool. Hiro rules.

anybody else do that? I've watched all of rome, a series of 24 and the whole of heroes in a one-er in the last few months. I can't do tele in weekly offerings and I pathologically can not stop watching or reading anything till its finished. kind of destoys your life a bit, ha.

oops. my mistake, bbc2 then.dont worry jaline, i'll give the series a go :)
- Jaline0
Yeah, during the summer I watch seasons of TV shows sometimes. It's great because you get immediate gratification, but it takes quite a while to get through everything.

@kelpie
Yea, I watched season 2 of lost that way, thats how I got into it. I think its far better when you can chose to find out what happens next, you lose that amazing frustration when you think "wow that was a weak filler episode", you just watch the next, feel forfilled and come back for more when you're ready :)

To be honest though, I like discussing shows with other people when they are happening / airing. Not afterwards because that excitement dies down.

Too bad the networks don't air them at the same time all over the world... Actually, is there any good reason for them doing that?

Kelpie - I did the exact-same thing a couple of weeks ago with Heroes and the third series of Battlestar Galactica and Lost.
I can't be bothered being tied to tv series for weeks and weeks on end - 'much better' to watch them in one big go.
Though, my already tenuous hold on reality seriously slipped away whilst watching 16 hours worth of completely fantastical TV in one go.
I WAS John Locke battling the Cylons with a gorgeous cheerleader at my side.
