Gallery exhibition preparation?

    I have an exibition coming up in my city and i needed advice on how to go about getting my photoshop and illustrator print works blown up. I am not sure in what format to design or convert them to or how to prepare them for a print shop. have any of you guys done an exibition before? any advice or online resources would be great.
