So for some reason my Safari is not displaying any Flash content. No video on youtube, no music on myspace, not even the buttons here on newstoday. but firefox works just fine. Whats the deal! Heres my version number:
Version 2.0.4 (419.3)
And I did reinstall Flash Player 9 for all browsers and still nothing. I'm totally stumped and can't find anything anywhere else. Any idea'rs?

did you uninstall the flash player first?... before 'reinstalling' as you say?
wipe it completely and then install the player via the browser window using Adobe's site...

i didnt try that, no. but i did just download the uninstaller from adobe, and then re-ran the installer, and the problem is still there :/

(not trying to sound like one of those superior geeks here) but have you tried running FireFox instead? I got annoyed with Safari quickly, for example not being able to work Gmail properly and whatnot. FireFox works really well for me.
just an idea.

Ya, seriosly, Safari is garbage. FireFox is the new black.
Otherwise you could contact Macromedia support or Apple support and ask them how to remedy....it's strange that it's not playing any swf's at all...gotta be a plug in problem.

what if you click this link... do you get any instructions?

Safari is a weird browser with some quirks -- but the activity panel makes it worth while.
This used to happen to me quite a bit, for some reason the security settings under preferences would uncheck "Enable Plugins". Try that.
