do not work well together. rosetta does not do the trick. plenty of ram, strong computer and some features just crash the whole thing.

In my book, anyone who says Adobe runs fast on macbooks is either blisfully blinded by apple love, or moved from really slow equipment.
And I am talking about dreamweaver/photoshop web work, luckily I never do any print stuff.
Notice I'm not mentioning photoshop crashes yet.. and am not going into hardware problems this time at all ..Run adobe on windows, vista is free until July afair

Are you running on the latest X update? (10.4.8) They've fixed a few Rosetta emulation glitches and things seem to be running smoother over here.
Still sluggish though, but not too long to wait for CS3 now...

CS2 is just impossible to run under Rosetta, but I think CS works okay. But, no, it's no fast! So if you have the possibility to "downgrade" yourself that's my suggestion.

i still have the g4 powerbook without intel and now im gettin scared with all this talk to switch over to the intel. Its like whenever you get somthing a week later somthing else comes out and you have to update again i just feel like quiting. My technic 1200 turntables have been around for 30 years and no changed have made and they are still the dopest turntables. I hate computers!!!

I used windows on my macbook pro. Works good... really good. I just installed dreamweaver and Ps CS1 on the mac side and it doesn't seem to give me problems. I am going to install Maya soon as well. We have intel IMac's at school. I run maya/photoshop on them flawlessly. Maya only runs sluggish when loading.

running fine for me up to now, on just a gig of ram, just dont instal version cue.
- mayo0
I took out Version Cue and installed 2 GB of RAM. works so much better now. Before it was crashing like a mofo.

No ver cue installed
ok, in illy—try operations with the pathfinder—evrytime I try, crashes it.
Sometimes illy just crashes when in the background.
Photoshop works fine, so far.
2 Gigs of ram, 2.66 monster.

my pathfinder tool works just fine. When mine crashed it was usually when I was trying to open a file in another app that was already open.

im going to get a Macbook pro and dual boot vista and osx until they come out with CS3 for intel macs.
Photoshop running in emulation mode sucks balls.
It runs about the same as a normal 1.25 ghz G4 powerbook ... ugh

i dunno, I have an intel mac mini crammed with 2gigs RAM using CS2 and Studio 8 and neither crash for me at all? dont seem to be all that sluggish either..
i dont think you'll ever get Dreamweaver to run as fast on a mac as it does on a PC tho
