explorer is doing some curious things...at the top of my list is text appearing BEHIND a background image. at the top of the page, there's a gradiated red background. in every browser BUT ie, there's text to the right of the image. in ie, you can select the text to make it briefly appear. what the hell?! here's the site: http://www.agnstaging.com/patric…

have u tried using instead of div?
i'm sure you're working on this, but the white mouseover menu takes a while to deactivate once you mouse out which can be a problem.

ha! the tag got lost there. i meant using SPAN instead of DIV.

sputnik -- thanks for the notes. actually...through the magic of deduction (and screaming!), i've concluded that it's the "float:left" property in the class governing the image. very curious, but i've just removed that property. all is good now! also, the timeout for the drop nav is purposely in place. it's basically to allow a user to access a drop down item a second or so after they accidentally scroll outta the area...it's mainly for older users =)
