ooh yea i've got that version too. apparently jill scott fell out with erykah badu over that track cos the roots took erykah on tour with them even tho jill wrote the part, because jill was unknown at the time and also less accessable (read, larger)

I would head for the hills if i was Erykah, Jill's one hard arse lady! I Love them both but I think Erykah also gets alot more recognition for her work not necessarily than what she deserves. But I think Jill Scott comands more than she gets and i sometimes wonder how much of is down to there looks I know thats probably bull shit but I think Jills got a stronger voice so why did the Roots put Erykah in the video and on the album when it was clearly Jill's track.... hmm beats me anyway
But nothing, nothing gets me one my knees more than a strong female volcaist i would have to say along with crunch peanutbutter and fresh powder they are my only true vices!

True, true actually i guess i always do think back to beautifully human when i think of Jill her last two have been a little hit and miss.
I still love them both though so don't get upset ladies if you happen to be reading this. Your both still invited to my house for dinner anyday of the week where I would cook you both my famous Cracked pepper seared tuna followed by Strawberries and vanilla bean icecream topped in Crackedpepper and balsamic sauce and we could sort this whole mess then play some twister....

I couldn't listen to the roots after Illadelph Halflife, but didn't even dig that album as much as Do You Want More....
I reckon it had something to do with seeing them twice within 1 year and seeing them do the exact same show both times...not even a glitch in the matrix, it was creepy and somehow, cold...
now I think their stuff is ok when I hear it, but it's not the same, it's almost too formulaic...
