the battery died.
if i unpluggit, it shots off.ive been too lazy to search on apples website who do i email to fix it, besides, i think it overheats more than what it is supposed to, but i cant tell if they all are like that and thats normal, or my is over the limit of overheating.
the worst i bought the computer in miami and im in santo domingo so, it has to be a pain in the ass to get that battery sent here, and then me sending the fucked up one.
couldnt they fix that problem before selling me that expensive ass thing.
shit.

I've heard nothing but bad things about it.

My new 15" MacBook Pro heats up way more than my 17" Powerbook ever used to. Even when used on a cool surface it can be really hot to touch the areas to either side of the trackpad.
I read somewhere it was because of an abundance of some sort of adhesive or paste inside and the only solution is to open it up, clean the old "stuff" off and reapply less (thus voiding the warranty). No chance I'll be doing that.

Or maybe it's not enough grease and it needs more put on?

when life gives me lemons i make lemonaid.
i take the ac power adapter and have it laying down on my desk near my left hand. i place my coffee cup on it. keeps it warm until it's gone.
as far as the actual macbook getting hot heat tests show it's no hotter than the powerbook, it only feels hotter as the design is meant to disperse the heat more up by the esc and eject keys. on either side of the trackpad on mine it's not even luke warm. the fan has only kicked on once too. i guess the dells get a few degrees hotter when working. gizmodo had a graph i htink a while back.

basic tip:
my macbook sometimes charges, sometimes doesn't...
I've kinda worked out it depends on the plug it's plugged into, or which socket in a 4 way adapter thing it's in... eg it'll charge in the one closest to the light on a 4-way. ?!??
