ahah, no hurricane. i don't know how to pronounce it. it is used for entries in a theorical paper, like a chapter:

not exactly sure what 'writting' is, either...
but a literal usage of the pound/dollar/euro sign would have it logical conclusion in writting 3£s60p and stuff, would it not? the placement is to denote the nature of the that which the number represents, not to read as plain english, I think
