I work in a graphic production dept at my co, I need something that keeps track of when a file was created, and associated files like maybe a spreadsheet.
Because there are updates to the sets of information and it is impossible to manage in a windows folder/file configuration.
Is there anything open source or commercial that can help me manage the files better than using folders?
Something that maybe has an interface with just pointers to locations of files/assosciated information and also when it was created? It doesn't have to actually store the files, I don't think.
Sorry for the longwinded...but this is affecting the quality of my work and giving subsequent migraines.

Isn't that what Adobe's Version Cue is supposed to handle? And it ships with CS2. I've never even opened it up but it may have some features your looking for..
