i was hoping for the 'beat it' generation. you know... for the year or two where everyone wore the leather jackets with a hundred zippers on them and the white shiny glove on the left hand.... that generation.

I mean, I can see a plausible case of why the internet has made life "worse" so to speak, but more good has come out of it, than not in my opinion.

I remember not having away messages informing everyone what I am doing practically every second of the day.
G-d I hated it.
People just had to assume I was doing something really cool, now I there is not a shadow of doubt in their mind.

times have changed a lot. when I was 11 years old me and my friends would ride our bikes 20 miles away from our houses like everyday. Now, my sister always has to know where my nephew (11) is.
I don't think the world or my city is any more dangerous now, but it is just a cultural shift.

like dobs i spent most of my days riding bmx bikes on a track we made next to the railroad tracks by our house.
when i wasn't riding my bike the kids in the hood and i would hop the train (when going slow enough) and ride it into the next town and play video games.
that all ended when my friend brian broke his ankle jumping from the train the next town over. i told that fucker a hundred times to land and roll but he wanted to try and run it out. dumbass. our moms nearly killed us.
