I thought some of the really 'exy' resorts in Ubud had them too...
Stoked you had a good time force... tell us about the waves? how big did you get it? Which was your fave wave? Surf any rights?
Couldn't help but laugh about the brazil nuts and the frogs. Great people but something definitely changes once they (ok, i am generalising) hit the water... I see it a lot on the Gold Coast.
Were the locals aggro in the water?
Man... i really have to make use of my relo's. I have cousins that live in Nusa Dua and I haven't been back since 95..!

enfocus! get over there if you have rellys there. we surfed lembongan 6ft (shipwrecks)... that was as big as it got really. bloody good fun, got cleaned up a few times and creased my 6.4.
drank shizzz loads of bintang too...

...and is that pontoon spot, Padang?
- enfocusmedia0
true, true... just saw your NTmug and yes, i can imagine you gettin' into the Bintangs haha
Might be going to Indo early next year on route to China. My family are originally from Sumatra so i'd love to hit the Mentawai's and all the other goodies in the area... never done the boat trip thing before...

Let's have a resoundung chorus of 'Praise Be's for BINTANG!

nah enfocus - the pontoon spot is lacerations on nusa lembongan. was too small when i was there though.
should organise a NT surf trip...

I nominate that spot in Mexico where they had that 'secret Rip Curl' WCT comp.
Jevad, you in? Or maybe a better question, are you 'natural'? hehe

I second that motion.
*goes home, waxes boards, realizes the nearest ocean is a 21 hour drive away
:/

Cmon lads, Married life isn't that bad! And you should'nt go into it thinking it's like that...
Been married for 2.5 years and am living a 10 minute walk from some super consistent beachies and Burleigh is a 3-5 min drive. I cycle to work and am loving life.
This is a far cry from doing the 'corporate' thing in a smoggy capital city and having to drive 30 mins to get to a peak that has less than 10 people on it.
I gotta admit though, it's easier to get lazy as a surfer once you're married... don't look into that comment too deeply hehe

sounds like youve got a good life enfocus! a nice setup indeed.
how many times do you surf a week?
- enfocusmedia0
i am blessed, i thank God everyday for it. things could change anytime so i have to apreciate everyday. could be moving OS next year so it's all going to change...
as for your 2nd q, this is where i hang my head in shame... i haven't surfed in about 2 months. living on the Gold Coast has made me a little soft the past few months..!

YOU ARE A DISGRACE!!!
get back out there this weekend. do it do it!!
- enfocusmedia0
i seriously am! haven't worn a steamer since i've been married so that's why i don't surf the colder days in winter up here. man, i used to be so keen when i lived in sydney... dawn patrols in the dead of winter down ulladulla way..
but that's nothing compared to your efforts. Props to you victorians!

gonna live there soon...can't wait!
