When a colleague goes into the filter gallery it says:
"No more virtual tiles can be allocated"
Say what?!
- grunttt0
that's a cool problem.

time to get some real tiles.

how much RAM?

1.25Gig I think... I told her to restart her Mac, she hasn't phoned back since...

an aside to this, ps renders everything in 'tiles', and if you are fortunate to have oodles of RAM you can make ps run faster by enabling the 'use bigger tiles' plug-in

thanks for the tip, acescence - I *really* need to upgrade to CS2!

(Sep 26 06, 10:44)Good tip.
Where might I find it?

1. Quit Photoshop.
2. Locate the ~Bigger Tiles plug-in file:
-- Mac OS: Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS2/Plug-Ins/Adobe Photoshop Only/Extensions/Bigger Tiles
-- Windows: Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS2/Plug-Ins/Adobe Photoshop Only/Extensions/Bigger Tiles
3. Rename the file, removing the tilde (~) from the file name.
4. Start Photoshop.

I'm on CS (not CS2)... I'll have to remember that for when my company get their finger out and upgrade me :)
