Hey-diddly-ho - Have any of you lovely people got good Construction websites in your bookmarks / portfolios?
Any will do, but I'm not working on a Trans Continental one, so smaller regional/national sites would be more relevant.
Ta! Also - je t'aime!
(I've been keeping it quiet)

I did a site for a Concrete Formwork company. THey built large concrete frames for huge development.
http://www.addingtonformworks.co…
They idea was to base it on a structured frame work ;)

ha! Nice, Dancer - were you responding to the client's wish for the logo 'to look like it was being constructed'? - I see that so frequently, but yours is the first that actually pulls it off well - good work!
Thanks too, elms - you're right - nice logo, not-so site. Sadly, the one thing I have to abide by is the logo (on Brand yellow, which I'm slightly concerned about..)
- Dancer0
Erm.. I had nothing to do with the logo, I redrew it to tigthen/tidy it up but other than that the logo it is the only exsisting element.
It's starnge other (none designer) people have said that they like the logo. In my eyes it is a bit too obvious but I have grown to live with it perhaps oneday I may see why people like it.

omg nairn! does this mean that your days as a man of leisure are behind you?!?!
- Nairn0
meh - this is quite embarrassing - it's for my Dad (though I have done one or two bits of work this year, just for shits'n'giggles.)
*hides
But yeah - it's time I got off my arse - apparantly, money doesn't grow on trees / I can't rest on my laurels / in reality, inventing stuff does not = pile of wonga / I'm pushing for 30 / simply put, I really should be doing something.

damn, I was really looking forward to buying one of your Hydraulic Smoking Arms

Hey Para. Don't you wish we had Construction sites to work on? Much, much cooler than the rectal probe suppliers we've got.
- Nairn0
*becomes very self-conscious
er.. reading that back, it sounds (to those who don't know me at all) like I've been living off the old man for 29 years - that's just not what I meant. I've just had one [extraordinarily] lazy year, at my own expense, as I contemplated what I actually want to do with my life.
That said, I did wonder whether Daddykins was dropping a hint when he started talking about me finally getting his website done (after years of my nagging him).
Sorry for the explanation - it's just that I've got a couple of friends who have, quite literally, never done a day's work in their lives, and whilst it amuses me that such people can exist, it also makes me angry with the world.

you must have sold a shiteload of mushrooms to support yourself for a whole year.
rock on, you! :D
- moth0
Oh my bleeding heart Nairn.
Chop chop!
You could always ask someone here to do it for free! It's all the rage they say...
- Nairn0
er.. no - I'm just frugal (aka a tight arse). Which is why I'm proud to annouce the launch of my Smoke-o-cycler - a complex tube and valve system for recycling expelled marijuana smoke, filtering out CO2 and adding a pleasant aroma (5 currently available - including mango and costafortunum).
Perfect for the family - fun for the children!

"could we not make the site look JUST AS IF the visitor were entering the anal canal? sort of an environmental flash thing?"
- Nairn0
lol "we want them to feel that they're really there - make it moist*!"
* that's for you, moth.
- kelpie0
ool, you could have it kind of iris-open on rollover. shpincter-tastic
- Nairn0
I've just tried to top that, Kelpie, and realised that all I'd achieve is to undermine my own research efforts.
Talk of anal passages and distended sphincters to another thread, please.
- vwsung18t0
these are some of the sites i built for my company that sells construction books
- kelpie0
ok, sorry.
*looks at the ground
- paraselene0
whatever happened to smell-o-vision, anyway? it's 2006 ffs.
- Nairn0
thanks, vw.
No, no, kelpie - you misunderstand, it was what I wrote in response your post that made me reconsider - there was mention of wrestlers and upon completion of the google image search for 'anal prolapse' I realised that that might be construed as 'too far'.
