everyone on nt is so afraid of not wearing jeans and lame threadless t-shirts. :P

Rock a suit man, end of story.

For an interview, I always wear something a little nicer. Once you're hired, you can wear jeans, but I think they'd like to know you can clean up when necessary. So I suggest a nice shirt, tutu and nice shoes.

wear a tux, impess them. And ask to serve them a drink.(render joke #7u6237869283982)
seriously, wear a suit. Show them you mean business. Its time for artists to stop dressing like kids. Whos with me?
- Amp0
The suit is the only way to go. That let's them know you a) mean business and b) have the wherewithal to dress yourself well.

It's interesting to see the mixed responces.
There is something to be said for dressing in what you are comfortable in though ya?
- mrdobolina0
day to day at the office, yes. not at the interview.
- mrdobolina0
I actually enjoy wearing suits from time to time though. There is nothing more comfortable than well fitting dress pants.

Don't wear jeans. I've been interviewing people and I don't think the designer uniform (you know what I'm talkin bout) is cool for an interview...especially when they want to see how you will be with their clients.
- dirtydesign0
Exactly. You won't present to clients in jeans...
- MikeDubs0
Depends on the company to be quite honest.
I worked for a place that wanted to make our clients jealous. We offered them beer and whatnot. Our creative department had a pirate flag over it.

Fuck it its your book that counts. Went in to a CI firm wearing flip flops. Everything was cool.

I pick C:
It always just makes me feel more comfortable.
You portfolio should get you the job not you shirt.
Oh, but make sure they are clean and smell ok.

Okay, I've read all the posts now.
I agree, do not wear jeans, dress up not down. You're not going to be "showing them up", by dressing "nicely."
Yes they are interviewing you mostly on your portfolio, but you as a person are included in this package.
It's the whole package.
Show them you want this job, and are treating it seriously.
I can't believe people think it's okay to go into any job interview in attire that is almost a slap in the face of the people that are interviewing you.
Read PonyBoy's pop's advice. It's warranted and true.

men should never wear flip flops.
//but then again, all of you dudes are toe-shaving sissies, haha
- ********0
I don't see how being hairless makes me a sissy.
