Whats adobe playing at with this universal bin version of their software? Seems like nearlly everyone else hasent had a problem just patching up their software, but adobe will make us all wait till sometime next year before we can get this software running on intel macs, and I got a feeling it wont be a patch. it will be an upgrade which we'll have to pay for..

no offense, but it's pretty common knowledge by now.

Basically it's apple's fault for rushing them in. And then 1000's of users for not reading the small print.

it'll be an upgrade
i don't know why people would expect more of Adobe...they never release anything substantial for free
sometimes they even do paid upgrades with very few new features...maybe even charging for speed improvements

(Sep 25 06, 06:42)Didnt really have a choice, my G5 died last month still under its warranty, they couldnt repair it, so replaced it with the new intel based unit.

apple is charging $50 for the "upgrade" to logic pro universal, even though lots of the "new features" contain words like "fixed" and "now behaves correctly"

CS3 will be a legitimate upgrade that will also be Universal.
I can relate to feeling impatient though.

The CIA uses macs, that's why they haven't found Bin Laden yet.

Is anyone running Adobe apps on the Intel Macs w/Rosetta? How is the performance?
