Not sure if this a really old tired topic but my CS2 software is reaslly unstable on the new intel G5 imacs.....to the point where applications are just crashing out all over the place. I thought it'd be slow, not a nightmare.
Thoughts anyone? IS there any plans to bring forward the release of a universal binary version?

My mac book pro is shite also
DO NOT install version cue for starters
CS3 is next spring
Its all fucked at the moment!!

Is that the consensus? It's all fucked?!?! Massive oversight by someone...crazy how much work time will be lost due to this.....we're thinking of buying up some old G5s until CS3 comes out

While photoshop stopped crashing, my macbook itself does it now instead.

As for CS2, it's usable, but kinda slow, especially paired with DW/Flash.
I am installing vista RC1 preview this weekend, they just started sending out keys.

heard they run alot smoother on the new version core 2.

hmmm...
Apple are infact in the process of replaceing my G5 IMAC with the new release... this now sounds bad..for the moment anyway. What adobe apps are having the most problems with it?
photoshop/Ill ?
anyone running reason 3 okay?
cheers,

i've noticed that version cue f's up other non-adobe apps too. i installed it, and logic immediately started crashing all the time, removed it and it stopped.

what the fuck is version cue anyway? I never install it.

cs runs well on my mac pro. rosetta needs a lot of ram, so if you're trying to run PS or Illy with 512mb that might be the problem.
