Any one of you know a good tool that let's me capture streaming video off the web?
Maybe a program that exports it to quicktime or something.

It's being streamed in WMV format and I would like to have THAT captured...maybe the output can be either quicktime or windows media.

I basically have a training video that is being streamed off a proprietry site with it's own little plugin software that gets installed. I was wondering if there was a program that captured the screen and compressed it in real time.
I already use capturewizpro, but the files go uncompressed which makes the files huge. Im looking for a good alternative.
If it can also record sound, that would be a plus.

If u really want to capture, perhaps camtasia should do it.

But if u download the streaming video, u can edit it in premiere..or Final cut...
no?

I would love to do that, but I dont think I can because the video is playing in it's own little plugin / software that gets triggered from the browser.
Thats why I need to capture video FROM the screen and make sure it compresses in real time.
Ill keep looking though. Thanks for your help.
