Plagiarism. Finally. :)
Some kid copied my site: http://www.pixelicon.tk/
Original: http://www.monokai.nl/
Amazing how he took the effort of reproducing all the Flash...
- indian_pole0
hehe... you sound pleased!
- moth0
How do you find about about this?
- Teeuwen0
love your evolute piece!
- Monokai0
Well, pleased... it's more that I don't like to put energy in efforts to butcher the kid off the internet. If he likes to present himself in a way that's a complete copy of my site, so be it.
Moth: He actually emaild me. I don't fully understand his mail, but I think he says he's blaming *me* of copying *his* page. :) No replies yet on mails I sent him.
- designerror0
take it as a compliment
- Monokai0
Teeuwen: Thanks!
Designerror: Yeah, no stress here :)
- Concrete0
Ouch!
Yours is much nicer though, Monokai

is yr flash encrypted?? maybe try some obfusication in the future and then ppl wont be able to decompile yr swf's - looks fairly blatant
- UndoUndo0
and the ipod style navigation is excellent (photos section)
- Monokai0
No my Flash isn't obfuscated, and I know of no encryption method that is hacker proof.
But if you look at that kid's page, it just doesn't look the same. The transitions and everything are all different. It looks like he copied the looks and scripted all the code himself.

Try this for encryption
Not perfect, but does a pretty decent job, even ASV gives an error while reversing the encrypted swf.
- UndoUndo0
where does it fall down VanDerFull
- VanDerFull0
UndoUndo:
Sometimes when using the highest security setting, depending on your script, the transformed swf might not run properly.
It obviously won't protect your gfx, but keeps the hacker kiddies off your AS for a while.

thanks VDF, have you tested many recently? Look to make a purchase soon and its been a couple of yrs since I last looked.
thanks

UU:
Tried a few during the last couple years, and this seems to be the most promising.
Here's a review of the product:
http://www.kirupa.com/reviews/sw…These guys have a free lite version available of their commercial product:
http://www.genable.com/aso.htmlI've noticed you can actually double obfuscate using both these programs...
- UndoUndo0
excellent, thanks for yr help.
U komt uit het Nederlands?
- VanDerFull0
Nah mate, Finn living in the UK... :)
- Monokai0
VanDerFull: I just tried the trial of Amayeta on a new project, but it broke. The code was unreadable allright, but the encrypted .SWF wouldn't play. The .SWF communicates with an .XML file, maybe that's the problem, I don't know. Tried both moderate and high encryption.
- VanDerFull0
Monokai, yep that's what i meant by the negative aspects of that obfuscator... did u try playing around with the settings?
Also try ASO lite, if it works better for you.
Sometimes it takes quite a lot of adjusting to make it work properly...

Nice site!
