My PowerBook sat me down this morning and had a nice little chat with me. She said that my startup disk was almost full and that I needed to delete somethings. My hard drive has 3GB free. Where do I find my startup disk and how do I get more space on it? My PowerBook wouldn't tell me.

i had to get an external drive to keep my music and my old stuff on

Yeah, I'm in the market for a new external hard drive.
But with 3GB free, kinda weird that it's almost full. I've been much closer to full before and I never got that message.
Who's got an external they want to get rid of?

your startup disk should never be that full.. 3GB free space on a volume used for just files would be no problem, but OS X needs room to breathe. i'm not sure what the actual minimum is, but anything less than 5GB i'm pretty sure is not good.
