Can anybody help me out or guide me in the direction of some good advanced photoshop tutorials?
Thank you!

Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast
Then click Okay, and set the contrast in the 10-20 range.

the process i saw to replicate this was a lit bit of curves, some brightness/contrast, maybe some levels, the burn tool, and a photo filter (warm)

there's about a million ways to acheive the same effect in photoshop. usually, adjustment layers with blending modes are the way to go. try converting to lab color to make adjustments as well.

just go into your adjustments menu and start tweaking with it..
there's no right or wrong way with photoshop.
