Illustrator question

  Hi all,

  I tried opening a pdf file in Illustrator but it prompted me that I was missing a font (courier new). I clicked ok and it replaced all the text with question mark. The weird thing is, I do have courier new.

  It would be great to know why it was doing that and also some few ways to fix it.

  could be a different version of the font, a true type/PS issue, etc.
  you can go to type>find font and then replace the courier font in the file with the courier font in your system, should work out fine.
