you know how you can copy the code of a website to see the layout etc in dreamweaver?... Is there a similar way of doing this in FLASH?
Just thought it would be a good way of teaching myself how people do diff animation in flash.
Cheers.

you can and its called decompiling - but ethically I dont agree with decompiling swf's where the authors of websites havent freely published the code and its assets(Moviceclips, buttons graphics etc)
IMO you are much better off looking at tuts at the various sites and joining in forums - you will learn quicker and create a good foundation for your own skills - if you decompile other ppls swf's it will usually be much more confusing

no problem polly, site ive found useful before are
http://www.kirupa.com
http://www.actionscript.org
http://www.gotoandlearn.comand of course you could alwyas post here!. most of the battle when learning is try to find the phrase that describes what yr looking to do.
There are alot of sites out there where the authors have posted the fla and all the code. A good example is Robert Penner who created lots of equations for tweening - his site is really useful and most of it (if not all of it) is open source
