Audio in AE

Trying to work with audio in aftereffects for the first time. Imported the files, but for some reason I'm not getting no sound when I preview or after rendering a movie.. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Some settings I'm missing out?

theres a known sound processing error between AE and QT7.
I've personally have had issues on export and had to downgrade to QT6..... iTunes stoped working at that point though!not sure about your settings, but this might be your problem.

i know in AE when you goto to 'make movie'... you have to go in the settings and 'check' the audio box... it's default setting is to 'unchecked'.

throw it in the timeline
and than pres . for a audio preview

is your audio part clicked on while rendering?

yup, I have the audio checked before rendering it.. but I also cant here the sound when I play it once its in a comp... But I can preview the sound on its own.... strange...

try playing one of these files in Aftereffects

i use those loops.
convert to aif. files before imorting.
i think that will help.

what was the problem? was it an mp3? they never work for me, as tank pointed out.
