Hey, just wondering if anyone out there has the MINI MAC DUO version..and how it handles CS2 is it workable? I know its slow until CS3 comes out but is it really bad that I should look at getting and IMAC (which I dont really want to since I have a monitor and I would like to take it with me) and I don't want a laptop since the one I had before broke.
anyone with pros and cons about it would be nice. Used only for Photoshop, Illustrator Indesign and Quark.
Thx.

I hear it runs as well as a single g4 at about 1.5 ghz - so in effect it should be the same as running an original mac mini (g4). untill of course CS3 comes out then you can laugh out loud like an arch villan

tis alright – graphix card aint all that though. My studio mate bought one and we did the research on cs2 and tested - if you're upgrading from an 1.5-2 yr old machine you wont notice the difference + cs3 will be out at some point. D.

I got the small macbook and a large external monitor - laptop screens lie about colors anyway.
Photoshop crashes way more often than it should, so it's windows for work and osx for.. I still don't know, but it looks kinda nice.

does anyone know if you can upgrade the processor on the MAC MINI 1.66 DUO to something like a 2 or higher GHZ processor. Ideally the MAC MINI would work for me the best since I already have monitors and travel between 2 cities to work weekly so I need something easy to pack and take with me...trying to avoid laptops again since they always give me issues.

yeah it doesnt look to hard to upgrade i think Ill wait for the upgrade version and then in a year upgrade the CPU...that would be the nest option I dont want to lug baack and forth an imac or the mac pro.

not to keep this thread going but they realease a mini 1.83 GHZ....would that be close to a MACBOOK at 2 GHZ?
