Ah yes... the ex-client 'threatening' legal action...
... long story... i'm not going to go into it...
but... I want to know if the end of this letter I wrote to them was 'snub' enough? I was going for 'fuck you' w/out saying 'fuck you':
"Now... at the end of the day, Brian... EVERYTHING is already in your hands as I told you (except Drew’s stuff which I have nothing to do with)...
You threatened me w/absolutely NO FACTS in your possession. I don’t really appreciate you wasting my afternoon w/empty threats when all your company needed to do was find the data/information THEY LOST OR FAILED TO BACK UP...
... please do not call me... ... DO NOT SEND A HARDDRIVE... everything you requested is available already to you if you read this email thoroughly.
If you wish to accuse me or threaten me any further, please email me. "

i think you still got kinda "businessy polite" at the end by saying he could email you.
but you do sound nicely pissed, if that makes you feel better :)
- Dancer0
You don't sound business like at all.
Send something more professional it seems like your just trying to dig and get a reaction out of him. Don't use caps or a smarmy (sp?) tone.
Take the upper hand and act like an adult/professional business person

i didn't mean he sounded businessy, just that the "if you want to contact me" part sounded diplomatic, i guess. I don't know. But I agree, no caps or attitude. never let him see that he got to you.
- kelpie0
what dancer said, you sound like they got to you.
stay frosty cap'n

thing is, if you're in the right, all you should really have to do is firmly state the facts, and show them you know your rights in teh matter.

*sigh...
too late...
... and they did get to me... again...
... I don't know why I let people get to me... I'm in no way in the wrong on this situation - the higher-ups in the company shift so many fucking people around that NO ONE takes action to see that their 'investments' are organized after they've purchased whatever it is that they've purchased.
Oh... and because they threatened me legally... (well... their 'new' fella they sicked on me today did... and that was some stupid verbal crap...he even flipped out swearing at me... cuz I wouldn't let him 'be in control of the conversation')... I felt it was time to finally just be a prick... because there is NOTHING business-wise that is 'good' that will come out of this situation for me...
... these people are trying to get work from that IS OVER A YEAR OLD.....
... and what's great... (THIS IS SO COOL!!)... is that I went back over a year ago into our emails (the paper-trail)... and found the actual LINK... ON THEIR SERVERS to the shit they've been harrasing me over.
That's why I was trying to just be a cock... I almost want them to come after me legally now... because they have nothing...
... there was NEVER a contract either... :)... NOTHIN' in writing.

Damn, thought this might be a thread about Snub TV from all those years ago.
Never mind. As you were.

this was nowhere near professionally patronising enough for my tastes.
- PonyBoy0
argh... 'snub' was the wrong word... I wasn't going for 'pro patronising'... I was going for 'ripe little pissant'...
... i'm goading this fella... after his silly threats and no info and then a mad swear-fest at me over the phone yesterday afternoon... I just want to get under his skin.
which is why i didn't swear at him... but i did give him the option of 'emailing' me if wishes to discuss things further... this man has a mad power trip issue which is why the company sicked him on me... telling him 'he can email me' is like saying 'let them eat cake'...
... anyway... i'm still up and drunk trying to figure out why I let this get to me (oh wait... lies and three years of wasted time... oh yeah... !! ) :)
'nite
