how do i do this? fucking itunes formats more and more files (like podcasts) into m4a files.
now i don't want to use an external piece of software, cuz then i need to load it back into itunes and get double files and what not..
is there a hack/plugin out there to have m4a's change to mp3's when moved to ipod from itunes???

reason: my car stereo only likes mp3 and wma files from my shuffle (usb connection)..

If you go on ITUNES to:
Preferences / Advanced / Importing
Just select Mp3 and it should do the trick...

you can right click on any song and "Convert to Mp3"
