apple recall

the strategy guy at our firm had a battery listed on the recall. I pointed him to apple's support page yesterday. he followed the instructions, DHL delivered the battery this morning. he just needs to send the bad battery back in the same box.

"lame, you have to send your battery to them before they will send one to you. which will take 4-6 weeks, depending on the availability. with 1m batteries going out, that means you could be waiting a long time.

Hell Yes! I am in! My numbers match up. My battery has had a 3 minute charge for almost a year now. I have been looking at buying a replacement but never got around to it. Thank you for this thread.... 3

Where's my macbook recall? After deveoping Random Shutdown Syndrome, just yesterday the processor rolled down to 1GHz and won't go higher, no matter what workload it gets.
Didn't have the time to look closer, is it a core meltdown or something?..

i want to keep my battery too..... it was working alright and would be nice as a backup.
