hey guys - just noticed an issue with my flash on xp. When you first load the page you ave to click on the flash movie before you can click on a button? You only have to do this once(maybe to just set the focus?) and then it works fine. A client has noticed it and doesn't want to click twice on the first button!
anyone know something bout this?

That's a IE issue. Use Flashobject http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobj… for your flashdetection and it will go away.

I find it quite funny that some people who deal with web production are so mac-centric, that they hardly ever test the sites in Windows environment.
Not so long ago, I was at a high profile web design comps presentation by a top (judging by their clients) design group. The guy could not connect his macbook to the projector, so he had to use windows machine provided. He didn't know how to use it and the nav scripts weren't working.
The presentation was available on their client extranet, so it's not that it was supposed to work on his mac only.

Btw, I'm not saying, v3nt, that you fall under this category, that's just a thought that your entry invoked ;)

cheers for the responses and tests! It was checked in the office but only seems to be doing it on my clients' computer! Making it a pain in the ass to solve...

(Aug 23 06, 05:29)you have an old version of IE in the office, if you update it, it will exhibit the same behaviour.
