Dear God! It's true, the DB is an Access DB. The system electing future politicians runs on an XP PC and MS Office! It's so easy to hack, Bush could have done it himself (once someone moved the mouse and closed the screen saver for him).

This isn't really news, and it isn't really a partisan issue, or it shouldn't be. Every American should demand this shit stops and we get a reliable, checkable, paper trailed election system. That and getting rid of the stupidity of the gerrymandering voting districts wily nily. It's like the undoing of the AMerican revolution..
You know, I don't think to highly of conspiracy theories about all this stuff, but if elcetion results this time around are really far off from exit polls again then their is someone monkeying in the works..

(Aug 22 06, 02:54)that's only one-fifth of the battle, really. once we've sorted out voting reform and have fixed the problems we have with gerrymandering and the intrinsic absurdity of applying an electoral college system to something as unwieldy as the population of the states, then at least we'll know that stupidity is to blame for stupidity and not merely maliciousness and poor structural decisions.
