Flash version problem

So I designed a flash file for a client targeted to Flash 7 / AS 2, figuring that it would be safe. On its own, it works fine.
However, they neglected to tell me that the swf is being loaded into another swf that is Flash 6 / AS1. When my swf is loaded, it's not loading XML properly.
Is there a good way to deal with this, or do I need to redo all of my code for as1?

Try publishing as flash 6 / as2... as long as you're not using anything specific to flash 7 or above you should be ok...

The good way to deal with it is to get the client to stop being so gay and open it up and publish it in flash 7. If they get pissed tell them to go and check the flash player penetration stats.

Assuming they have the fla, which is a long shot at best...

Yeah, I'm gonna root through their assets and see if I can find the .fla to update. Flash 6 is SO 2003.
