so i have 2wks to go before i fly out there.
i have no hotel reservation made yet. i want to stay edinburgh and then up north somewhere in Highlands. what's a good city to stay in Highlands? or you have any other recommendations?

there is only one city in teh highlands - Inverness, a good base for travelling up there, enjoy your trip.

Go to the Isle of Skye. Was just there in April for three days, not near enough. Really beautiful.

Get a few bottles of Mortlach 16 year old. Flaura y fauna I think. Damn good speyside single malt that is no where available in the states. will cost you twice as much to ship it.

went for a drive up the west coast a couple of weeks ago... glencoe, fortwilliam, glenfinnan, plokton, ullapool, skye, foyers, lochness, pitlochry.... all beautiful in different ways.

i fly out tomorrow night to heathrow and i still don't have any set plan!!i am not even sure if i'll ever visit edinburgh or go straight to fort william and around the west coast.
i need to decide today.

i'd definitely go back there again. sorry, i didn't get a chance to call, chossy and mx. we made a very short stop at edinburgh, then off to Fort William.
the country side is just so stunning and i wish i had some serious hiking gear to trek the trail. maybe next time!
