Ok, so this may be a strange and stupid question. But does anyone know of an application for a mac (it may even come with the machine) that allows you to mix/comp bits of music together.
I'm not trying to become a DJ, but was wondering if there was a programme where you can cut bits of music from mp3's and make a CD that mixes in all the best bits...
Any ideas or am i way off the mark?
Cheers

Garageband is your best bet if you want to get it done quick and cheap.
Ableton Live is a great program but is likely overkill for what you want to do.
Logic Express is an option that would be a step up from GB but has a tremendous learning curve.
If you want to use something that is like GB in terms of ease of use but has more powerful options try to get a hold of Soundtrack Pro (it comes with Final Cut Pro Suite). I've tried everything I mentioned and prefer it for most of the editing I do for sound or video projects.
