I saw Monster House 3D over the weekend. Excellent implementation of 3D. When there was smoke on the screen it actually looked like the theater was filled with smoke, pretty cool. And they plan on releasing Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D this year sometime, looks like it will be cool.
If you're bored sometime you should check it out.

Yes. It was remarkably crisp and didn't seem forced. It was natural and fun. The glasses give me a slight headache after a bit tho. Great flick.

i was dreading seeing it, but a friend of mine knows the director.
so i went, and the movie blew me away. the 3D was totally dope and the animation direction was just perfect.
and the story didn't annoy me at all. i think i laughed out loud like 5 times

I've been looking for the technique they used to create the 3d for my little brother.
We got to keep our glasses, and I wanted to make him some images that utilized the glasses.
I tried matting out the close object, and creating a seperated image behind to no avail.
Any ideas?

Has anyone seen any articles or know anything pertaining to the 3D visual process used in Monster House?
