Hi,
OK, when it comes to colors I do alright. When it comes to money I have a very small clue.
So now here I am. I've been trying my hand at investments and so far have broken even which I guess isn't bad. One of my purchases was 10 shares of Apple. All in all I'm about even with that stock, too. But now I'm reading about how this whole Apple stock options snafu might get them delisted. What in the hell does that mean? If they get delisted, what happens to my stock?
Anyone have any insight into what this is all about? I'm willing to trade advice on graphics apps because that's where I'm a viking.
. . . maybe i'll just sell it all and buy a lot of hoegarden. . .

Highly unlikely that teh stock will be delisted - even if they do indeed miss the filing deadline.

i'm not that investor-savy either. been wondering how that mess is going to turn out. we could lose it all i guess.
apple stock has been a really good investment so far. wish i would have purchased right around the ipod launch. i think it was something like 12/13 a share.
hopefully things come out alright. cross your fingers.

you have to watch carefully how the market will react. since apple is a very high profile company, investors may react negatively to any sign of scandals.
i got 140shares so i need to be super careful. it really comes down to your trading style. i can handle 20% loss on the short term if i see the potential of gain back of 20% + in 1-2yrs.
it's tricky. i feel like apple will announce new products very soon.
part of me wants to get rid of this high volatile stock but i can't sell right now.

If I had apple stock I wouldn't be thinking about ditching it just yet.

I say apple has hit the ceiling and won't break though until their intel useage pays off.

so my mind is clear now, i am looking into this issue more carefully.
i'll have to say, the price will def drop on monday opening. i think people will probably act very negatively. what apple needs to do is stop delaying quarter filing and just get moving.
also, when you buy small shares, you have to remember how much you are paying for each trade, usually around $10. so let's say you bought 10shares at 60. buy and sell trading fee together is 20. so that's already 3% of total value of 600. unless you gain 10-20%, you'll be better off putting money into CD with 5-6%(no risk).

Thanks to everyone for the great advice. Luckily with Schwab I pay a flat $13 comission so its not tha big a hit to profits with small stocks. But I know more now that I did before.
When I'm rich I owe you all a beer.
