I'm ordering more RAM for us 3 AD's here at work. We have 2 slots filed with 512MB DDR SDRAM, and 2 empty slots.
Question.
Do I get 2 more 512MB's for the empty slots - or just one 1GB and leave the remaining slot empty?

Doesn't Crucial.com figure this out for you? Not that you have to buy the ram through them, but it should tell you one way or the other.

Crucial says for the G5 model swe have we need dual 512s rather than just a 1GB card...that sounds wrong...

the specs say they can handle 4 gigs max=1gig per slot. try http://www.ramjet.com
they have good mac specs on there.

I have 4gb in my work machine, 1 gb each slot
I used to gave 2gb (1 gb each), and 4 gb is a huge difference
love it

must pairs for sure. I have a pair of 512s and a pair of 1GBs. Has been working great for a while now.
