"Wow... how can anyone say that Nintendo is ONLY for children? Or that PS3 will be for true gamers?"
ETM
(Aug 11 06, 23:14)i didn't say "ONLY" or "true".
i said "children plain and simple" and "advanced users".
just look at the titles for the nintendo and the sony lines there is a discernable difference in activity/learning game and adventure. the lineup at NES is child-like in comparison to the "dinero-eseque" lineup provided by PS and all of their voilent game providers.
anyway, psp gets online to my and this website, until a ds does that, the ds is a childs toy, the only thing i would purchase the ds for is brain age and possibly the mutant super mario brothers game mentioned earlier.
however i have just purchased this, http://newstoday.com/pbs/find.ph… an item i have long been interested in. as well as its cousin product http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13… just this evening
who knows what that will bring to my language knowledge?
does ds have anything to compare that to either?
so, so far:
PSP: wifi gameplay, file sharing ,+internet browsing, language tools/games, microphone, music, video, photo viewer/player, up to 2gb media storage and file portablity, flash rendering, psp formatted movie discs, etc.
DS: 2 touch screens, brain age
by all means, fill me in if i'm missing something

Pfft.
I'd fuck the Wii in the video, but I still want a PS3... end of.
Remember kids – viral is usually shit!

I for one like the colourful cartoonish graphics and comfy gameplay from nintendo.
But like other people have said I don't really think the wii is comparable to ps3 and 360, theyre different things.
I like the fact that nintendo arent trying to go all realistic with the games, its more an art, and illustrative 3d art in the games, which I for one am much more happy with.
But it really boils down to personal preference. Anyone strongly opinionated with arguments against their least prefered console is just wasting his time with useless jibber

PS- I agree that nintendo are the "apple" of the market.
Stylish, innovative and different.

360 is good console, fairly specced out, PS3 = ripoff, another Sony attempt at forcing their formats upon the public.. PSP is nice hardware but is crap plain and simple - I know three guys who bought one after the hype but all three have sold em! They say the games are shit... OH no a games console that can do all these great things but the games are shit.. like I said - there's a reason DS has outsold PSP 5:1 worldwide and thats innovation. Tobe honest I only got caught up in the console polygon wars and spec sheets when I was fifteen years old, now its about gameplay bottom line and DS offers gameplay on a new level, so to will Wii. Sony gay attempt at stuffing a gyro in their controller literally a day before showcase is very poor and an example of their misdirection. BAH, everyone go and buy a NEO GEO instead..!

"Oh.. and regarding just the video... I TOTALLY pick the Wii.
It would have been even better is she was a cute Japanese girl though...
ETM"Well they should have been both japanese in this case.

I disagree that all PSP games are crap. It took a while but we got plenty of fun ones now and with all the homebrew scene available to all firmwire his really interesting.
But I agree with the point that Nintendo & Sony go with totaly different market and personnaly appreciate both approach.

wii- apple branding
360- pc game branding, looks bite at apple

so to answer your question again, no.
If the US government received tips about a possible terrorist cell, it would have no problem geting the proper warrants to perform surveillance on them.
case closed.

imo ps has always been some upper echelon gaming. Never has a system featured great user experience across all genres of games.
imo nintendo has always been less mature fare, gamecube seemed like a toy. Zelda actually looked like a good title but that is the only one that would have grabbed me.
as far as ps is concerned i'm glad they took out the rumble bcuz i think its slightly overdone in some games...although it is cheap UI. rather than model damage just make the controller rumble when u hit the barrier etc...
I do have a complaint about ps titles tho. there don't seem to be any get in get out kind of experiences save GTA3+ series. I mean I love the FPSs but I'm still on the 2nd board of Black cuz its like 25 mins long.
I mean really Sony, does every game have to take 50 hours to beat. I do have to earn a dollar.

Eh... NDS can browse the internet already. With a stylus, no less.

Yeah, Sponge...but you have to pay for the browser, dont you? Or is it built in?

wii is a bit too gadgety for me (alltho i admit its sounds pretty novel) for me games i think are the realm of sitting not prancing about - for example - if i want to play tennis i'll play real world tennis not jump about. immersion isnt all in graphics or physical involvment ... :) my 2c

this seems like a pretty moot argument.
each system has its advantages and each has its own demographic.
nintendo is more cartoony and cheap, aimed at kids.
xbox is mid-range and aimed at college students and high school kids.
ps3 is marketed toward an older market who appreciate electronics on a different level and has the money to do so.

ps3 will look nice beside my bang olufsen
