Weird PDF Lines

I'm making a PDF from an Illy eps file, and no matter what settings I distill it at, I keep getting these odd lines around any text with an effect. I've created outines, expanded, and checked the document raster effect settings.
This has happened before, and when I printed it it was fine, but now it's actually printing these lines.
What to do?

And FYI, these lines are not visible in Illy. Just when converted to a PDF.

Well here's what you do Cinco.
Blah, blah, blah blah blah.
SOMEONE HELP! BEFORE I CRY! Por favor.

You can try flattening your raster effects before you save the PDF. You may have a bit more control doing it yourself than letting distiller handle it.
Edit> "Flatten Transparency" or "Transparency Flattener Presets"
It will prob produce the same results but its worth a shot.

1. check spot color usage. any spots with a transparecny effect will not process through a rip, and could cause trouble when pdf'ing
2. export straight from ai, don't use distiller. this way you'll get a warning dialog if somethings up before you export.
3. post an image next time so people can see what you mean.
