    i am preflighting an 84 page brochure with 25% of the pics in black and white. I want to know how best to get the black and white images balanced – ie. the darkest blacks to be the same, I just want consistent black and whites but each image obviously contains different amounts of midtone. When doing books, the repro house does it, but this is a budget job and I have only myself to back myself up.

    Any help or should I grow some balls and just send it to print (i'm on holiday as of monday ha ha).
