...does anyone know if it is possible in photoshop to make a straight image bend into a circle?
Do you know what I mean - say you have a panorama of a landscape or something, can you make it bend into a circle?
Is this possible? Not found much on google etc...

polar co-ordinates does something crazy.
have a look at bulge, some animation packages can instantly create a shite panoramic view cylander warp and shpere wark are your freinds here but you'd need to have a bit of a fiddle to get the correct look you are after.

what do you mean by bend into a circle, though? are you planning on using the photo for an interactive panorama, like a 3D cylinder?

I want to ultimately use the image in flash as a background device.
What I am trying to is similar to having a line of text in illustrator and then running that type around a circle - does that make sense? So it is not a case of making something square round it is a case of bending the image into a 360 arch.
I'm sure it can be done - and would rather not take (and don't have) time to slice it up etc...
But that is my last option I guess.
Any tips trticks?

polar coordinates. play about with it. theres 2 ways you can do it.
try doing it one way then apply the 2nd way again and i think it does something like that.

theremust be a plugin or something
anyway, you will need a hi res pic to begin with if you dont want the outer edges to be streched and loose the quality
the length of the pic must be 3.14 times the height

i used to have to make fake labels to super-impose over photographs of jars. back then there was not a good solution, but check out the grid transform in newest photoshop.
