Hi guys
Im currently working as a Junior Designer in a sleepy town in the UK, but would like to continue my career by getting a design job overseas...
How does one go about applying for overseas jobs, working out how to get an interview etc.?
Any help much appreciated

contact a WPP design group and ask to get their overseas office contacts. If you work for Fitch, they tend to keep creatives rather than to lose them to their competition. They shove them around the world to places they want to go.

that is by far the easiest way. otherwise, you just keep your eyes on the job board here on nt or pay attention to the job listings on the national sites in the place you want to be. you have to be a bit more tenacious in the application process and it helps if you're either shit hot or particularly perfect for the position in question, otherwise they won't want to go to the trouble of sorting out your visa for you. another downside is that if it's a small company, you may have to chump up for the travel to and from the interview.
