Hello-Goodnight. After a helpless google search, I was wondering if anyone has specific-driven info on setting up small-scale publishing houses, copyrights, admin, strategy, HR towards authors/printers, etc, etc?
Personal experiences on anything related to this welcome. I have only a few scattered links and a bunch of put-down testimonials. Thanks!
P.S.: Portugal/Spain lurkers: come out and shove me some iberian info/experience on this, please. M. Grato/M. Gracias.

Hello VAsco.
first You'll need a decent amount of money for printing.. lets say 5000€ for a magazine..
ISBN (international Standard Book Number) is free for public in Portugal, when editing / publishing something, so you don't have to ask it through a company, can be independent.
start here:

then it's all about promoting and distribution. if the stuff is good, maybie you can split the profits with a good distributor and have luck on the spots- fnac, etc.. (they both can take you at least 70%) of the final price..
good luck
