OMG, do not ever let me go through another 4-5 days of what I went through last week after getting back from Japan. I have never felt more out-of-sorts, exhausted, mindless, trying to remember my name, aimless, unproductive, and insane as I did from last Tuesday night to Saturday.
Anyone else suffered this horribly?

yeah, every fucking time.
Each trip to Japan I'm pretty much jet lagged for the first week and spend it drinking and eating. Only in the second week do I perk up (after drinking canned coffee for a week) and start trusting myself to go shopping otherwise it's the lost in translation feeling whereby everything non-western gets bought from sock-gloves to wind-up dancing penises from the 100yen shop.

Welcome to my world.

What's funny is I never get jet lag over there, it's only when I get back. The only time I ever beat it was when I got on the Tokyo/NY flight completely sick, running a fever, and slept the entire time back.
- kelpie0
why on earth would you not want to buy wind-up dancing penises from the 100yen shop, honest??
- mg330
I didn't get it on the way there, we were up late drinking the night i got there and slept till like noon everyday.
It was the coming back part.
Trip regrets?
Running out of money and not having enough to buy the left handed, sunburst Japanese Fender Jaguar at a used guitar shop that was only $450.
That guitar would go for over $1000 easily on ebay. I was sad.

mg33 you play guitar as well!! Awesome...I love digging through music shops in Japan...Gaijin grabs guitar, plays Black Sabbath riffs, runs out door...hehehe
- mg330
Yah, I do. Have a look-see-listen at my band here in Chicago. I do the singing half of the guitar playing.

But I'm left handed, only found about 10 lefties in the whole strip where the used stores are.
But that Jaguar... oh man, if I had been there in the early part of the week, I would have bought it for sure.

Nice stuff mg33...reminds me of The Cure a bit..not my cup of tea, but played well...
- mg330
Thanks. What kind of stuff are you into?
- TheBlueOne0
Me? As my wife would say "He is an american hard locker"...
you know, the heavy stuff with the weedly weedly guitar mostly...but I dig everything..well except some j-Pop and most country that isn't Johnny Cash.
