  there is a set of resources called action movies essentials which includes blood splatters you could purchase this and then twiddle around with the blood spatters to achieve the look you want, alternatively draw it in pshop and simply cycle the layers to build up your splatter. I often find it better to do your own wee splatters. I recently filmed some paint splattering and keyed it out it works rather well, get your hands dirty homes dive in :D
