Hey y'all, I posted this next door but thought I'd put it here to get some feedback.

A little while ago, myself and my lovely illustrator friend and sometime collaborator James Joyce started work on our first proper project. He draws it, I make it move.

Our superstar DJ friend Deven Miles has done a re-edit of the track 'Someone Like You' by a band called Revl9n, and we thought it would be a good idea to put together a short promo for his version of the track.

    FEEDBACK PLEASE!!!

I got bored about 45 seconds through. It just wasn't varied enough for me. You do vary the motion a bit, but I think it could be pushed further.

It definately needs some more variation in movement other than slow pans and such.

I think the strongest shot was the volume sliders because of the wonderful overlapping animation. I'd love to see more of this.

I agree somewhat with the first comment. Also this style of music does not interest me so I am trying to get ast that.

I think the concepts are great, and I love the geeky music gear. However, the "flatness" of the illustration left me bored after a while.

I wonder if developing some illustrations that explored the notion of other camera angles might help. With deeper perspective. Think: Use expressionistic camera work to bring to life objects which are in and of themselves expressionless.

    Good work, good luck!

A fair point. I thik that there probably is a bit too much time before the dialogue part hits and it was a case of trying to vary the shot types (ie Detail shots cutting over pans) to put some pace in.
