PM's are a neccessary buffer between client and designer. A skilled PM is a valuable asset to maintaing client relationships with a company.

true... pm's who bring the deadline forward etc. to make thmeselves look good and pm's who you spend half your time explaining the process to them, and that a flash site is different from a flash animation

Mine's even worse...
Taking art direction of account people and client's, who can't design, and applying it, so it ends up being a shitty design, every time.
