anyone have one? worth it? do they last? i've had two phones wear out on me because i text too much.

Sprint isn't that bad ever since they took me up on my request to have as many roaming minutes as possible with a monthly fee.
I was paying like 200 a month at one point. :X
Never used a blackberry though.

well the past two phones have been replaced under warranty, but that was just up. a new shitty flip phone is practically as much as a blackberry, so i figured i'd hit the upgrade.

i have an 8700 blackberry device and its amazing! i dont know about the carrier though.
blackberry is the way to go hands down, just be careful they are addictive.

Sprint is nice, as long as you have reception (i've got a sprint treo now.)
Either treo or blackberry will do text right. Or t-mobile sidekick, when you get to a bigger city ;-)

i've had sprint for a couple years and it's worked fine for me all over the midwest, atlanta, florida and new york city. it was good for the most part on the west coast, but got a little patchy around SF and San Diego.
the texting has creeped down a bit since school got out... a lot of it is texting while out when you can't hear a phone call for anything.

when i moved to nyc i had tmobile. bad reception. switched to verizon, ok reception but non existant in my apt. now i have sprint and its awsome.
i think it really just comes down to what works best in your area. when i was in dallas tmobile was perfect.
