oh my....
* books flight
- GreedoLives0
can you describe the problem? maybe it's something someone here has dealt with before...
mac or pc?
- paraselene0
i hope you're wearing the cape.
- neue75_bold0
try jiggling the wires around a bit...

mac osx, itunes 6
well, itunes opens and is funtional and all that, but when i put in a cd to import songs, the little cd icon doesn't show up on the left.
so i can copy the audio files from the cd to my desktop and open them from there and they play in itunes just fine. but i can't import more than one track at a time.
also, since i formatted my ipod to my work pc, my mac at home won't even look at it. just refuses to acknowledge its existence. so i can't even reformat it for mac now.
:E
sound familiar to anyone?
- paraselene0
i got rid of the library receipts and reinstalled itunes, but it's still acting nutty.

under system preferences> hardware > cds &dvds, make sure that it's not set to have itunes ignore it...
and ummm lemme think...
- GreedoLives0
it's an internal cd player, right, not some external storebought thing?
- neue75_bold0
some people just can't be helped...
:P
- paraselene0
thanks, greedo. i checked that, and now it works with a store-bought stereolab cd, but still nothing with mr_snuggles' burned cds...
hm...
- paraselene0
yup, internal.
- GreedoLives0
Well that explains everything...
- paraselene0
everything but the ipod.
but even with snuggles' cds, i know i used to be able to just drag and drop the files.
is he really so corrupt?
- neue75_bold0
haha..
- chossy0
do you think somebody haxzored it?.
- paraselene0
fox smells his own hole first, chossy.

- chossy0

BTE!!
- acescence0
are you using the usb cable and your os is a version earlier than 10.3.4?
- acescence0
do you have "enable disk use" checked in preferences?
also, if you are able to reformat for mac, it will certainly not work on the pc. if you want it to work on both, has to be formatted for pc.
