So not true... LA has good vibes just depends where you want to live. You got lots of culture outside the "Hollywood" bubble. Maybe a good place to stay is Little Tokyo since the transit hub is by there. You can take the subway to pretty much anywhere and then you would have to hop on a bus.
You should view los angeles craigslist and just see how much is being offered for your position.

i guess these 'tons' of interviews depends on from place to place, i got friends whose got the job doing only a single interview.... for sure it´ll depends on the company.
i guess your main concern should be on the visa. will be harder to get a permant job if you doesn't got the work permit!

Yes, I neet to find an employer first to get a work permission visa.
I can set it up as an internship stay, but only officially, as actually I need acceptable sallary.Ah, I know no one said it will be easy, but it's rather hard to set it up :/
